Tours, Bookings And Timing In Corsica

Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you book a tour, stay, rental car, transfer or eSIM through one of them, the Corsica Travel Guide editorial team may earn a commission from the operator at no extra cost to you. You always book directly with the operator, on their own booking page, and they handle payment, confirmation and any refund. Nothing on this page costs you more because you arrived via a link here. If a tour is not a fit, close the page and walk away.

This site lists 60 bookable tours across 10 categories, and every one publishes a from-price, running from $13.48 for a walking tour to $247.14 for a full La Maddalena and Lavezzi day. Each from-price is per person and shown in US dollars. What it covers varies: some boat trips include drinks or a swim stop, some food tours include tastings, others are the seat alone. Life on the island itself runs on euros, and this guide never converts between the two. Check the live booking page for the current price, schedule and what is included before you commit.

The Ajaccio and Bastia station records, covering 1991 to 2020, show one Mediterranean pattern: hot, dry summers and mild, wetter winters. Snow settles only on the high mountains, so high routes open late in the year. Boat trips to Scandola or the Îles Lavezzi depend on the sea and wind on the day rather than the calendar. Shoulder-month departures mostly run, but rough water can shorten a cruise.

Plenty. The beaches are public, the villages of the Balagne and the Alta Rocca cost nothing to wander, and viewpoints along the D81 above the Gulf of Porto are open to anyone who drives them. Town squares, harbours and old quarters are free. Budget instead for summer beach parking, which fills early in high season.
